Prof. Mi-Hae Park
Soprano, Mi-Hae Park has acquired a Bachelor’s degree from Seoul National University and a Master’s degree from Juilliard School of Music. She has gained an Honorary doctorate from Moskva Gnesin Institute in Russia and Pfeiffer College in the USA.
Mi-Hae Park won a prize in the New York Metropolitan International Competition and she was a member of the New York Metropolitan Opera and New York City Opera. After 1997, she worked as the soloist for the Mozart Wien Orchestra. She has shown wonderful performances in Korea-Japan cooperating ceremonies with Pavarotti, Domingo, and Carreras. She also had several separate Duo Concerts with José Carreras. She has done several recitals and other invited recitals in 2006 at Seoul Arts Center. She showed outstanding performances taking the main roles in Operas like Die Zauberfl?te, Rigoletto, Un Ballo in Maschera, Carmen, L’elisir d’amore, Gianni Schicchi, La Bohème, Choonhyang, Le Nozze di Figaro, La Traviata, Das Rheingold, and the Korean Opera from the places of Bolshoi Opera House in Russia, Seoul Arts Center and other Opera Houses throughout the world. In 2009, she won the Cooperating Main Role Awards in the Korea Opera Awards.
Mi-hae Park is currently a professor at the Voice Department of the School of Music, the Seoul National University.
